nyfw day 2 recap: what is food

Happy Monday!! Today is actually my last day in New York as I fly back to Los Angeles today and I can’t wait to see the hubssss!! I’m sooo going to miss New York though, this city just has a certain spark to it– I just can’t put my fingers on what though. Today’s post will recap Thursday which was day two for me during fashion week!!

I woke up around 7am and had Glam Squad come to my hotel room to do my hair and makeup which is seriously the best service ever! Like, getting your hair + makeup done in the comfort of your own place in PJs? I could do that every day. The girls that did my hair + make up were both originally from Sweden too so it was awesome being able to chat with them about their journey here! After getting ready, I made sure to make my first stop at Bollare because I seriously LOVE the team there. They always make sure you’re set to go for fashion week and treat us so so well. This year they had a 50s retro theme going on which was so stinkin’ cute!! I make sure to stop by Bollare to see the team every time I go. It’s a must!!

After Bollare, I stopped by to see my friends at the Riviere Agency as I was being fitted for the Dan Liu show on Saturday. This was my first time going to a fitting and actually getting a proper seat front row so I can’t thank them enough!! The show was incredible– more on that on a future recap post though! I picked this stunning blue dress and just couldn’t get enough of it!

I made some time on Thursday to shoot a few looks with a photographer I’ve been wanting to shoot with a while. Rebecca from BECKLEY and I seriously adore her. She’s sarcastic, witty and so fun to be around! I love her style of photography– she’s so effective, shoots quickly and does an AMAZING job! Highly, highly recommend if you live in Dallas! I literally brought all my camera equipment thinking I’ll shoot a few looks myself but nope I loved her work so much that I ended up booking her again on Sunday.

After shooting, I visited the Behrman PR team which I’ve been wanting to do for sooo long. They are such a great PR agency to work with and being able to have that one-on-one time is so so important! Unfortunately though, the meeting ran longer than expected (which is definitely a good thing) and I ended up having to miss the Tadashi show!! I heard it was so good and saw pictures but didn’t get to see it live. Next time I hope!!

Since I missed the show, I actually ended up going to the Dr. Brandt event at Broken Coconut (such a cute spot in NY) and explored a couple of their new products! I’m already a huge fan of Dr. Brandt (their eye cream + magnetic mask) and I’m super excited to try their new stuff. I’ll share my review after a month or so! 🙂

AND THEEENN I went straight to the Sam Edelman event and seriously had the BEST TIME! I finally got to meet the PR team and introduce myself!! Sam Edelman is a brand that I’ve been wearing for sooo long and for me to be invited to the event was a dream come true. It sounds silly, but events like these really make NYFW worth it and being able to put a face to name is just so special especially in an industry as heavily saturated as this one. So happy I got to make it to this one!

[full_width]To top off the night, I stopped by The Shoe Box event for a little bit since my girl from GiGi NY invited me! She’s such a sweetheart and would seriously never let her down! <3 I think I ended up coming home around 10pm and slept around 2am since I was working on emails + getting my blog post out the door for Friday, lol. BUT YES day two was definitely a busy one but every single event and meeting went AMAZING. I kept it pretty simple and wore one outfit for the entire day– this pink cropped sweatshirt from Abercrombie, floral denim, and shoes from Sole Society! It was Thursday so I kept the look a bit casual with some NYC sass! 😉 I’ll share more looks throughout this entire week! Tomorrow’s blog post will be a recap of day 3 along with another outfit look– stayed tuned and THANK YOU for following along my NYFW journey! Chat soon, loves!

PS — oh and if you’re wondering, there was 0 minutes in my day for food. I had a little açai bowl around 4pm though so that was fun.[/full_width]
