Boy does time fly!! I can’t believe I’m already writing about the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale this year!! Where did this year go already?! For those that don’t know, I cover the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale every year in full detail sharing my top picks and categorize them for y’all so it’s easy to shop. The sale can be overwhelming and I want to do everything I possibly can to make this experience easier for you! Let’s get into the details starting from the basics so that you are well adversed before July 12th hits!

What is the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale?
This is a sale that Nordstrom holds every summer and let me tell you, it’s unlike any other. The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale consists of ALL NEW ITEMS for Fall 2018 for a limited-time low prices. Think: beauty products, hair tools, booties & boots, sweaters, cardigans, fitness gear, denim, designer handbags, menswear, and many more closet staples! The best part? Everything is stinkin’ brand new for such an incredible price!
What are the dates?
If you’re a Nordstrom credit card holder, you’ll be able to get early access to shop the sale on July 12th at 2AM CST which is an entire week before non-cardholders. I’ll go into detail why that’s crucial in the next section. If you don’t have the Nordstrom card, public access starts on July 20th and will run until August 5th.
How to prep & shop the sale?
- Take a minute and think about what you need to restock on for fall. Booties? Handbags? Denim? Sweaters? Early Christmas gifts?! Make a checklist and prioritize what you’re going to be on the hunt for!
- If you want to shop the good stuff before things sell out, I highly recommend shopping the minute the sale starts at 2AM CST on July 12th. This means you have to have the Nordstrom credit card y’all and I highly recommend it. Now I know getting another credit card can be daunting so this is totally up to you and you have to determine what’s best for your financial situation. However, I will say that there is no annual fee for this card and you do get tons of benefits from it– that was my reasoning to tack on another credit card in my wallet. Definitely worth looking into if you can so that you can shop the sale early!
- You can apply for the Nordstrom credit card here.
- You can totally go in-store to shop the sale but I found it 100x easier to shop online last year. You’re guaranteed to shop everything from the sale online (not everything will be in your store) and you can get your hands on the sizes you need. I suggest ordering two sizes of something if you’re not sure, and then returning the other! I failed to do this last year and by the time I got my shipment in and realized I needed another size of something, it was too late and the item was sold out!
What items should I shop for?!
There are TONS of items that’ll be on sale, y’all. This is what I’m looking for, in order of priority:
1. Denim
2. Booties
3. Beauty products
4. Menswear
5. Possible Christmas Gifts
6. Fitness gear
7. Jackets/Coats
That’s just what I need but there will be tons of other stuff on sale like sweaters, jackets, cardigans, dresses, tops, leggings, designer handbags, etc. Like I mentioned earlier, make a checklist of what you need in your closet this fall and prioritize from there!
