I’m a pretty simple gal and there’s a only a couple types of shoes that I really need in the spring and summer: sneakers and sandals! Easy, right? I love how you can now wear sneakers with practically anything these days– dresses, shorts, jeans, skirts, whatever your heart desires really! The hubs and I walk a TON in Los Angeles so anytime we are running errands or are going out for lunch, I try and pair my outfit with sneakers a) because they’re comfortable and b) because they don’t get dirty when I walk on concrete unlike heels! Let’s face it, it’s sometimes quicker to walk to places in LA than drive given all the crazy traffic!!
My latest sneaker addition:
I recently got a new pair of Keds in gray (I already have the classic white one!) and I’m so glad I added these to my sneaker collection! Keds has been a long-time favorite of mine and trust me,, I won’t steer you the wrong way when it comes to shoes. Keds are breathable, durable and so so versatile! In full transparency, if Taylor Swift wears Keds you can bet anything in this world that I will be too, hah!

What I wore:
As I mentioned, sneakers in general are pretty versatile meaning you can wear Keds with [almost] everything. If this is going to be your first pair, I’d stick with getting white ones first because they go with so much. I got the gray because I don’t have any gray sneakers at all and they’re super cute with certain outfits. My smiley tee + denim shorts seemed like the perfect recipe for Keds and I love how causal my look turned out to be! I could have easily paired these with a summer dress too!
Also, fun fact time. Did you know Keds has been around since 1916? I had no idea!!! They’re coming strong with their latest kicks and they’re so affordable too!
