I’m officially halfway through my acting class, y’all!! I’ve learned sooo much in only three classes, it’s insane! A lot of you have asked where I’ve been going and I have no problem at all recommending this one to you guys!
A good friend of mine told me about Keeping It Real Acting and I saw a bunch of great reviews with both Professor Judy Kain and Paul Hungerford. Both of them have been doing this for 20+ years and they have so much knowledge to pass on and so much passion in them to teach, it’s been amazing! I’ve had one class with Judy and the others are with Paul and I just love them both!! Paul is absoutely hilarious and I’ll definitely be attending one of his improv shows this weekend to learn from him more! I leave class feeling more inspired than ever and yes I know, these commercial acting classes that I’m taking are not related to blogging per se, but it really does help a lot. One thing I learned is that with commercial acting, you aren’t trying to sell a product you are simply building a relationship with that product and talking to someone about it. That’s kind of the same thing we as influencers do as well, right? I work with so many different brands to try out their latest launches or some of the cult favorites and I build that relationship with the product before I go out and share what I love/don’t love about it with you guys! I’m finding similarities between the acting realm and the influencer industry as much as I can to help me be a better blogger. There is ALWAYS room to improve so my goal is just to never stop learning and this class has really opened my eyes on that matter.
A lot of you have asked what my plans are after the commercial class and well, I’m going to start with at least getting my headshots done and possibly finding an agent. I do want to start going to auditions and just letting my nerves out and grow as a person. There’s sooooo much to learn in this industry, y’all and it’s just the beginning. I’m so glad I get to share every bit of it with you though– it makes me feel less alone for sure!
