at home with roofus || freshpet

Y’all know Roofus, our adopted dog from good ol’ Texas!! He was actually one of our fosters but Ajeet didn’t want to let this one go so we took him with us to California! 🙂 He’s been loving the LA life so far especially with how dog friendly the city is. Also just as important is the dog food that we give our precious pup!

As most of you know, animals hold a special place in my heart. I’m a huge animal advocate for the ones in my home and the ones that aren’t. I do my best to help animals across the world whether it’s fostering, donating, volunteering, helping others find their furry friend, or even simply educating others about what’s good and what’s not when it comes to your dog food. That all being said, I’m so excited to share Freshpet with y’all today! Freshpet is all-natural, real dog food made with fresh ingredients and absolutely no preservatives. We started out by mixing some of this with his dry food but now that his stomach is adjusted, we feed him 100% Freshpet and he absolutely LOVES it. It’s so healthy for him and it makes me feel better that we’re feeding him quality dog food that we would feed ourselves, you know? A healthy, fresh meal straight from the fridge!

the ingredients

The one we have for him has a mix of chicken, cranberries, carrots and spinach. 100% natural farm raised poultry, fiber packed garden veggies, and antioxidant fruits are the only ingredients in the dog food.  Roofus won’t eat fruits and veggies on his own but he gobbles Freshpet up in a heartbeat!

If you’re a dog lover like me, check to see what kind of food you’re feeding your pet and make sure the ingredients are up to par. Freshpet is what I would recommend since it’s literally a home-cooked meal for your pet and you know exactly what’s going in your pup’s tummy. If you want more information, visit their website here!
