spring’s hottest trends

It’s officially spring and for me, that means out with the old and in with the new! I’ll be spending the next few days sorting through my old clothes and making a donation box to make room for new spring goodies! What kind of goodies you ask? Great question! I’m breaking down all the hottest spring trends this year for you to make sure we’re all up to speed and can shop with ease! Let’s get right to it.

Pastel Overload

Pastels is not really a new trend per se, but it’s definitely a stronger trend this year and it’s a great time to stock up on some cute pastel options since Easter is approaching ever so quickly! One pastel color you must get is lavender/lilac– it’s a must-have for spring season!

Sheer dresses

I don’t know how practical this trend is for everyday wear (at least for me being more on the conservative side), but you can expect to see more see-through dresses on the red carpet and the runways!

All the shine

You heard that right! We are talking about disco ball pants, metallics, sequin tops and really just all the glam from day to night! This one is interesting because when I think of sequins and glitter, I immediately think of special occasions like birthdays, anniversaries, or New Year’s! I’m not sure if I’m ready for those glammed up looks during the day I will keep it subtle and maybe do a shiny top with jeans!

Plaid

We all know that plaid was huge for fall into winter but it’s definitely here to stay during spring too! Plaid blazers and pants are especially killing it this season so be sure to get your hands on those soon!

80s Vibe

Think one shoulder dresses, power suits, high-waisted trousers, poofy sleeves, shoulder pads and slouchy boots. A little tip though is if you’re going to do the poofy sleeves, pair it with something tighter on the bottom! If you’re going to do slouchy boots, pair it with a fitted dress. You feel me?!

Those were some of the latest spring trends that I’ve picked up on! Denim on denim and fringe are still HUGE trends though (it was for fall too) so no need to put those away quite yet! I don’t think these two trends will go away for a while actually and I’m not mad about it! I hope you found this post helpful and of course, always be YOU. You don’t have to follow every single trend out there or even any of them for that matter. I know I won’t be participating in a few trends myself simply because they don’t suit my personality but I definitely wanted to write a post listing some of the hottest spring trends just in case it inspires some of you! 🙂 Chat soon, loves!
