Work Wear Wednesday || Sept. 21 Edition

I’m keeping it up with Work Wear Wednesday this week and I’m wearing Banana Republic for head-to-toe today! Alright you guys, I’m not going to lie after wearing this outfit I was like ummm I need to hit the gym because this skirt is loose AF! I’m not kidding. I bought this skirt and it looked great in person and I naturally thought I would fit in it since it was a size 00 in PETITE. PETITE! But ladies if you’re my size, this skirt just isn’t for you. I still did the shoot because this skirt was just too cute not to share! I’m actually keeping it because I’m DETERMINED to fit in this one day (with excessive leg days lol). Anyway, I found this GORGEOUS polyester blouse that is just golden! I highly recommend wearing this blouse in the fall/winter though because it’s very easy to sweat through this material and girl let me tell you, it will show. #notcute

So these pumps I’m wearing are absolutely adorable, I mean look at the detail! It’s like a lace dress on shoes!! These are actually called Madison 12-hour pump which is what intrigued me to begin with. Apparently, you can wear them for 12 hours a day due to the “flexible leather, injected insoles for heel stability, and comfort pods at the sole.” – Banana Republic. Here’s my experience. First time I wore them I wanted to cut my feet off. Excuse the dramatics but let’s just say I most definitely had to break them in, which I suspected anyway because heels will be heels. BUT literally after a week, the whole 12 hour deal made sense and these were unbelievably comfortable! It honestly didn’t even feel like I was wearing heels. So, I can definitely vouch for the 12 hour goodness and would highly recommend getting a pair (comes in oh so many different colors)! 🙌

Also, some of y’all have asked why I do Work Wear Wednesday’s when I don’t have a job and it’s like dang, no need to make me cry about being jobless?! No, I’m kidding. I really wanted to mix things up a bit on my blog and incorporate work wear items that I know some of my readers can relate to. I’ve consistently had a job ever since I was 16 so not working right now during school feels weird. It brings me pure joy to shop around for some work wear items that I can then show y’all in hopes to relate and bond with you guys more too! 😻 Cheesy? Maybe. But it’s the [dirty] truth. 😜

Overall, I really love all the details of this outfit. From the intricate necklace to the lace detail on the shoes, it’s all just perfection! Banana Republic has always been a go-to store of mine, especially for professional clothes. Plus, they have amazing sales regularly! 👏
