How to Wear OTK Boots

We made it you guysssss! It’s FRIYAYYY! It’s been another insanely busy week trying to make my apartment look decent lol. We got our kitchen squared away with a couple of bar stools and our bathroom is all set too! The bedroom is ALMOST done but not quite. If you follow me on Snapchat, then you already know that we got our bedroom set in the mail but unfortunately, the headboard was damaged while in the process of shipping so now it’s going to be a couple more weeks until we get that squared away. Thankfully our mattress is amazing so I don’t mind too much! We still don’t have a couch lol but we are working on that this weekend! Overall, it’s coming together slowly but surely and I’ll be able to show you guys all the decor very very soon!

Anyway, I’m excited to share this outfit with you guys because it just SCREAMS fall. I’m seriously loving the burgundy and tan combo right now as you can already tell! I bought this jumper from Free People and I’ve been swooning over it ever since! It’s the cutest chestnut color that goes so well with burgundy! I saw this bodysuit from Free People as well and knew these two would go together just perfectly. Look at the sleeves on this bodysuit?! It has the cutest flared cuff and amazing cutout details on the back and bottom of the sleeves. I know you can’t tell from these pictures, but the back of the bodysuit is most definitely open (see details here) which really adds to the outfit. I wore size XS in both and they fit me perfectly. I feel like if I was any taller (I’m 5’4) then the jumper might be too short! 😜

Let’s talk OTK now! I received these OTK boots from DSW (c/o) and I just adore them. From the color to the material, everything is just perfection. I’m seriously surprised how comfortable these are with the heels on this thing too! I literally walked for hours in these and had no issues whatsoever! These are actually only my second pair of OTK because I have tiny calves and legs so usually OTK boots just…fall right off lol. Anyone else have this issue!? I have to really do my research and find boots with a narrow calf just so it fits right. Even then I still found some trouble with OTK boots and so naturally, I stayed away from them for a while. After playing around with options and looking up some tips, I finally found a solution! I got some thick OTK socks to wear underneath (like these) and my goodness did it fix my problem immediately!! Something so simple as wearing thick socks changed my outlook of OTK boots and now I’m obsessing over the style! I’m so excited to add more to my collection because this technique has worked wonderfully, at least for these OTK boots, and I just had to share it with you guys because I know at least some of you have struggled with this problem too!
