cold weather essentials

It’s officially November 1 and that means holiday season is upon us!! Ajeet and I are officially putting up our tree today as well and the weather is just SO perfect for it here in New York. My parents were actually just telling me yesterday that it was freezing (literally 32 degrees) there in Dallas and that got me thinking—I should really do a post sharing some fall/winter essentials for y’all!

I wore this beautiful, super soft grey sweater dress the other day and so many of y’all LOVED it! I’m finally linking my whole look from Nordstrom here for you! I tend to get a lot of my fall/winter items from Nordstrom because they have such an amazing selection. Nordstrom has always been my go-to retailer just because they never disappoint!

Sweater dresses are a staple for me during holiday season. I love how easy they are to dress up and to dress down. Plus, they can be so comfy if you choose the right ones! This turtleneck sweater dress from Nordstrom is right up my alley! I saw it, felt it and immediately snagged it in two colors! I’m very particular about turtlenecks because sometimes I feel like I’m constrained and I can’t move but this turtleneck is actually a bit loose and there’s room to breathe! The material is soft and it’s the perfect length for OTK boots. I’m 5’4 for reference! J

The OTK boots I’m wearing are Marc Fisher and from Nordstrom as well. I’ve shared these boots on stories with y’all before and I absolutely LOVE them! I swear I’ve walked all over New York City with these and have not been in pain once. The block heel makes walking so comfortable and these don’t slouch as much either. It actually fits pretty snug! It comes in a couple of colors but black is my favorite! J

Since my outfit is both black and grey, I of course had to throw in a pop of something here. Leopard has been such a huge trend the last two years and so I figured a leopard headband and leopard bag will do the trick! The bag is faux fur of course and is under $60!

Last but not least, I had to throw on a scarf to give the outfit a little more movement.  I love this black fringe scarf from Nordstrom—you can literally throw it on any outfit and style it SO many ways! I love switching out scarves every season and Nordstrom has a huge selection that you can pick from! I’ll link my whole look + some other cute cozy weather essentials for y’all down below! Chat soon, loves! Xx
