Camp MacKenzie-Childs

A couple of months ago, I had the opportunity to visit the MacKenzie-Childs headquarters in Aurora, New York and it was probably my favorite press trip of the year! I actually found out about MacKenzie-Childs a few years ago when I saw so many unique pieces at my mother-in-law’s house! She told me about how much she loves her pieces from MacKenzie-Childs and how incredible they were. This was the first I’ve heard of the brand and I fell in love immediately! Their pieces are so unique, so eye-catching and made with such amazing quality. Not only did I learn so much about the ins and outs of how their products are made on this trip, I also got to see the heart and joy behind the making of each product. Every single employee that I spoke with was genuinely artistic and loved what they were doing! It made my heart so happy to support a brand that has such passion behind their work. I spoke with a few artisans at the headquarters and they told me that most of their employees stay for longer than 7+ years!

The trip was honestly a dream. We stayed right by the lake and it felt like just a slumber party every night with all the sweet girls on the trip. We had s’mores by the fireplace at night, made  our own cake platters (mine has paw prints for Snuffy!!) and got to make our own wreath using a few beautiful MacKenzie-Childs pieces. Most importantly, I met some of my closest friends on the trip and we all got to enjoy the magic Aurora has to offer with MacKenzie-Childs. I have so much respect for the brand now knowing how much work is put in behind the scenes, the handmade details that go into each item, and how each piece is made with such love. The pieces are all so intricate—you’ll see in my photos below!

This is my absolute favorite time of the year so I knew I wanted holiday pieces from MacKenzie-Childs— there is honestly nothing else like it.

We have a smaller dining table in our New York apartment but I picked pieces that we could cherish and carry on into our future home.

I picked out silver and gold placemats because y’all know I love mixing metals aka I love mixing silver and gold! I could not resist these beautiful wine glasses either—this was actually the first thing I ordered!! They can be used year-round and have such a sparkle to them!!

Overall, I ended up mixing quite a few of their collections from the Courtly Check to the Sweetbriar Collection.

How stinkin’ cute are these TREES?! I wanted a little pop of green so I added these beautiful Christmas trees on the table next to the centerpiece. I LOVE how these sparkle!! Our centerpiece is also a statement by itself—I mean, wow! I’m thinking of throwing a little holiday party at our place in December JUST so I can host with this beautiful setup!!

If you don’t have any MacKenzie-Childs quite yet, I would 100% start with something like the Courtly Check tea kettle. It’s subtle yet still makes an exclamation mark in your kitchen. Guaranteed people will either ask you where it’s from or know it’s from MacKenzie-Childs! Next, I would look into their cookware. I have a few pieces (the one I’m holding in these photos and a saucepan). I love how the Casserole can go from stovetop to tabletop and – no switching dishes AT ALL! It makes cooking, baking and hosting so easy all the while making your kitchen look dreamy! Hope y’all found this post helpful and got some beautiful tablescape inspo from it! Be sure to tag me in any MacKenzie-Childs pieces you get—I’d love to see how they look in your home! 🙂
