Let’s Talk Beauty from Target!

I’m excited to team up with Target to share my thoughts on the Fall 2017 PIXI by Petra collection along with Sonia Kashuk’s latest brushes as well! The family and I are heading to San Francisco tomorrow and I’m taking a few of these products with me on the plane and I’ll tell you why so let’s get right to it!

PIXI by PETRA Fall 2017 Collection

THE CONCEALER

Ajeet and I always book insanely early flights and we end up regretting the decision the night before we fly! Tomorrow we have to wake up at 5AM for our flight and needless to say, I’ll look like a zombie! Given my crazy sleep schedule, I’m always in need of the best of the best medium-to-high coverage concealers in the industry. The Pat Away Concealing Base does such a great job hiding my dark circles and the applicator is easy to use! I mean it essentially can replace your finger or beauty sponge if you want! I still like to blend with my ring finger though—just a habit! The concealer has medium coverage overall but I love the fact that it’s buildable so for days like today where I’m up super early, I’ll definitely be layering up with more of this Pat Away Concealing Base. I found that my skin suits the “warm” shade but I do like mixing the “nude” and “warm” together to get a brighter look for my skin tone!

THE LIQUID LIP

I recently tried all 5 colors of Pixi by Petra MatteLast Liquid Lip and the “Au Naturelle” shade is my FAVORITE! Like most matte lipsticks, I would highly suggest exfoliating and put some lip balm on to add moisture before applying the liquid lipstick. After I completed the prep work, I outlined the top of my lips with the applicator and then filled in the rest! I love how quickly this liquid lipstick sets and even though it’s matte, your lips still feel hydrated! It’s also long-lasting and doesn’t leave your lips looking and feeling like a croissant by the end of the day!! Y’all know what I’m talking about! 😉 I’m taking the “Au Naturelle” shade with me to San Francisco so you’ll see more of it via my Instagram Stories if you follow along!

THE ENDLESS SILKY EYE PEN

Waterproof. Long-Lasting. No-Smudge. Easy to apply. What more can you ask for in an eyeliner?! I swear by this eyeliner you guys, it doesn’t smear or run down my face AT ALL. Granted, I haven’t quite brought myself to tears to test out the waterproof on this but so far it’s been great to me! It does go on very smoothly which is nice especially when I apply it on my waterline. There are tons of shades available in this eyeliner—I’m looking to get the “BronzeBeam” one soon because I generally like to apply a softer shade to me eyes. Also, it’s only $12 which is incredible for such a long-lasting eyeliner! Highly, highly recommend![/full_width]

THE ROSE CAVIAR ESSENCE

I have a pretty lengthy nightly routine and I try not to add more products to the list BUT this essence is so good for your skin that you’d be crazy not to use it! Before I got into beauty, I used to struggle with the order in which I should be applying my toner, cleanser, moisturizer, etc. Over time, I’ve learned what works best for me so let me break it down for you but before I jump right in, let me explain what an essence is and why you should have one for your nightly routine! An essence is basically like a serum, but I’ve found that it’s more lightweight and less concentrated. The Rose Caviar Essence overall helps to brighten your skin and help refine and tone your skin overtime which is why I love this one! Let’s get into the steps:

1. Start with removing all your makeup!
2. Wash your skin with your go-to cleanser and pat dry.
3. Optional: Once a week, I exfoliate after this step but definitely not every night!
4. Apply toner—I use rose water for my toner actually! 😜
5. Apply the rose caviar essence! I usually take about a dime size and press gently onto my skin– it smells amazing by the way!! This product really calms my skin and is light enough to where you can add moisturizer on it afterwards. This brings me to the next step.
6. Apply moisturizer.
7. Apply eye cream!

It’s important to keep your skin hydrated and this essence really helps with that! Don’t forget to apply some of it on your neck which can often be neglected when it comes to skincare!

THE ROSE FLASH BALM

This is a travel must-have!!! Ever have those days where you wish you could get a facial in your own home before you start the day?! Everyone needs a little pick-me-up from time to time and this Rose Flash Balm is exactly the kind of TLC product that will get you through a tough day! I’m taking this with me to San Francisco primarily because our flight is incredibly early and I know I’ll be needing a little pick-me-up throughout the trip. The great thing about this balm is that you can use it several different ways. You can use it before applying your moisturizer (I do this every so often when my skin is super dry) or use it as a substitute for the moisturizer itself. I already have a lot of steps in my nightly routine so I now use this as a mask or a day time primer before applying my makeup! It’s travel size and fits perfectly in your carry on bag so you can just lather on a layer if you skin needs a little boost in hydration too!

Sonia Kashuk Collection

This is actually the first time I’ve tried out anything from the Sonia Kashuk collection! Her brushes are perfect for blending and they feel so great on your skin! For me, blendability is key when picking out my go-to brushes so these are here to stay! You’ll see more of these brushes when I begin my YouTube adventure soon! P.S. The Sonia Kashuk brushes have synthetic bristles so they feel incredibly soft on your skin! 🙂
