How to Wear Black in the Summer

I know summer is all about fun/bold colors and trust me, I’m all about that life. However, sometimes it’s really hard to avoid the urge to wear black pieces, whether it be a nice pair of trousers, a cute cami, or in my case, a dress full of soft ruffles! No one is saying to pull out your long sleeve, black leather jacket or super tight black leggings– don’t get me wrong! Look for those classic, minimalist pieces that are light and flowy. The key to wear black in the summer all boils down to the fabric…you want to make sure it’s lightweight and stretchy!

I posted this dress on Instagram Stories last night because it was 40% off and I’m obsessed with it. I’ve already worn it four times in the span of two weeks and I have no shame!! It’s crazy how comfortable it is, you guys. I’m loving the soft ruffles and the dreamy flow this dress has– SO STINKIN’ CUTE! I actually added a super cute belt the third time I wore it (ha!) and ended up liking the dress better with it! Totally up to you if you want to accessorize the dress though! 😉

This bag has basically replaced my Tory Burch tote that I normally wear the last few weeks. It’s the perfect summer tote and it fits everything I need! You can shop everything down below. My sandals are super old so I linked a few similar options!
