Oh Monday, we meet again! You guys, I have to start out by saying sorry for being totally MIA this weekend. Late last week I started feeling a little ill (the usual sore throat nonsense) and then Saturday morning things really went down. 💩 I must have some sort of stomach bug or ate something weird because I couldn’t stop vomiting and had serious diarrhea (tmi perhaps) but it’s the darn truth! I spent most of Sunday resting in bed and now feel a little better though. Who else caught the Cowboys game last night btw?!?! Somehow I found the energy to SCREAM throughout the 4th quarter and OT lol. BUT YAY #CowboysNation!!!!

Ok so anyway! You know how everywhere you look someone has something velvet? I’m loving the velvet trend right now and I found the perfect dress for basically any occasion. I have to admit, it’s on the sexy side so if you’re going somewhere a bit conservative or if it’s cold near you, I’d just throw on a leather jacket (like this one) and you’re done! This velvet midi dress does an amazing job intertwining sexy and edgy. Maybe it’s because I just finished watching Narcos (must watch) but I’m totally feeling a little Colombian here and I’m DIGGING IT!! 😉 The material is super stretchy so it definitely hugs your body in all the right places too! I took a couple of shots in the back to show the edginess I’m was talking about earlier with the amazing caged straps! The slit-back hem is just the cherry on top. This dress is all about the details and I’m loving every bit of it. Probably one of my favorite purchases this fall!

I kept the look simple with my Jessica Simpson pumps and a deep-red crossbody, which btw is a VEGAN LEATHER BAG. #winning 🙌 I hope you guys have a fabulous week ahead and keep an eye out for my next home decor post coming this Wednesday! 😘
